    DSL CANCELED US THE END OF MARCH 2011 YET WERE STILL CHARGING US UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST 2011. IT TOOK DSL ONE WEEK TO RETURN MY CALL (THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS IN THE PHILIPPINES) WHEN I QUESTIONED THE ACCOUNT CHARGE...THEIR ANSWER: "YOU NEED TO GIVE US 30 WRITTEN NOTICE"...WHAT?   • DSL Extreme Sucks!!



    DSL extreme has the most awful customer service and dishonest billing practice that i have encountered. When u sign up you are stuck with them for a year regardless of whether u are satisfied with service or not. There is an early cancellation fee of $250, may have gone up since i checked last. also if u are expecting to pay a certain price beware of the hidden fees that can substantially increase your bill.     What type of company are you???? You charged me fee's to set up internet service you could not provide which I did pay in advance!!!! And when I'm not 100% satified with your lack of ablility to provide me with the service you charged me for and I cancel your company wants to charge me more fees?????     To anyone who reads thiss message PLEASE stay away from this company. They are dishonest and fail to provide the service you sign up for. But yet they charge you fees for no service at all and on top of that they want to charge you $250 when you cancel for services never rendered. They offer no real tech support!What kind of a company is this that suppossibly provides internet service and doesn't have field techs?????     DSL extreme is a bad experience! Don't buy it. It is Verizon in disguise. I am charged for a modem I sent back and additional 160j for a years internet service. I explained to different people in their accounts department how frustrating it was to work with a connection I should have to call in all the time about.     I have been with DSLExtreme on and off ad I have moved around for nearly 15 years and I have seen them grow from a small company in Pasadena to what has become a non caring poor performing behemoth. They have absolutely without a doubt the WORST customer service and technical support that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with and I will soon be finding another ISP.     I m filing paperwork for small claims with DSLextreme. To try and make a long story short, they decided to start an unauthorized account after a conversation about possible service interest. After about 20 calls to stop the bills and authorizations (I can't receive service from them because of my desolate location,) they are charging me $400 on an account I NEVER AUTHORIZE THEM TO START.   • Billing



    Dslextreme.com is the worst internet company out there. We were on an automatic renewal and they took us off and raised our rate. We cancelled our service at the end of May 2011 with them and they billed us for June and then only re-imbursed us partially because they took their time cancelling us. You don't even get the full service you pay for and that's why we cancelled them. I suggest nobody does service with them as they are all liars. They are not even in America. More...

    I upgraded my speed from 1.5 to 3Mb. My phone line got disconnected while i was away. I came back and got my phone line running again. Took DSL Extreme 10 days to get my line up and running again. They extended my contract and now they are saying that i can't get 3Mb anymore because i am too far away. Don't waste you time with this company. You will be better off dealing directly with the phone company. DSLExtreme now wants me to pay $250 for early termination. More...

    I moved in mid April, 2009, and went to dslextreme.com to move my service from my old address. Website said that their service was available at my new address. When I called for further information, I was told that they couldn't give me service at my new address and that I had to call Verizon. Didn't want to call Verizon - I hate Verizon. They told me that was my only option. Called Verizon, they confirmed that I couldn't get DSL at my new address because prior occupants had Fios installed. I was prequalified for their 1.5 Mbps service. I signed up and then got slow to no intermittent service for 2 weeks. Finally we were able to stabilize the service at 0.3 - 0.6 Mbps. Never got better than 0.6 Mbps. They then refused to let me cancel the service without a $250 Early cancellation penalty. They claim that in the fine print of the contract anything from 0.3 to 1.5 Mbps is acceptable. These people are crooks. Stay away from them.

You may contact BBB (Better Business Bureau) and report all your complaints? The BBB will contact the company and resolve some of your problems.

How does DSL Extreme survive? They can not and will not deliver what is promised. They hire Nova monkeys in the 3rd world with 3rd grade English skills to assist you in helplessness. Frustrating, fagit about it! A word of advice. RUN!

If you plan to sign up with DSL Extreme for their advertised low cost plans, think again!! Three months ago, my 12 mo. contract with DSL Extreme finally expired. I canceled immediately... Just when I thought I'd never need to deal with that company ever again, today, I received a letter from their Collection Dept that I owe them $99 because I haven't sent back my modem. What!? Where's that written?? When I called in to cancel my plan, their service dept. made no mention of it, or I would have returned it... I used other DSL companies before, never once did I need to return the modem at the end of contract, it never even crossed my mind. Besides, I clearly remember that I paid some $$ for the modem in the beginning... Further, when I initially signed up with DSL Extreme, I picked the Express plan. However, the speed I was getting was slower than their Basic plan because they said I live too far from their service hub (but, of course, they didn't tell me that when I was signing up). They said the speed I was getting still meets the minimum speed (written in the small prints) so I can't change to their Basic plan or cancel the contract unless I was willing to pay several hundred $$ of early cancellation fee. Thus, for an entire year, I suffered with painfully slow Internet. And now, they are threatening to damage my credit if I don't pay them another additional $99. Is there still law!?

I am going through shit fits right now with dslextreme... They say I have their service... And my conection wizard says I have service... But even when I use the key code they gave me for my modem... Their hardware won't talk to mine... or answer my wizard set up. What now???
